Why Travelers Choose This Tour

Perfect if you're short on time in Zurich or a first-time visitor!
Zurich Highlights Tour:

Your sightseeing begins in central Zurich when you meet your guide and explore the main landmarks by air-conditioned coach. Learn about Zurich’s history and hear fascinating tales about the sights from your informative guide. See the Bahnhofstrasse, one of Europe’s most prestigious shopping boulevards; pass Zurich Opera House and the National Museum, and view institutions where Albert Einstein taught.

Admire the medieval Old Town, home to St. Peter’s Church and the Fraumunster church, whose stained glass windows were designed by Marc Chagall. Have your camera ready as you ride the Dolderbahn rack railway up Zurichberg hill, overlooking the city. View the grand mansions and luxury hotels of this plush neighborhood and absorb the stellar views over the city. Your tour then ends at the start point, leaving you free time for lunch (own expense) or to stroll independently before your afternoon tour.

Rhine Falls and Stein am Rhein Tour:

Meet your guide in central Zurich and travel by coach through picturesque Swiss wine country and pastures to Laufen Castle, overlooking the Rhine Falls. Dip into the castle exhibition, behold the 75-foot (23-meter) high waterfalls from the observation points and glass elevator, and perhaps take an optional boat trip (June to August only) close to the tumbling cascades.

After time at leisure, continue via Schaffhausen, home to the imposing, 16th-century Munot Fortress, to Stein am Rhein. On arrival, enjoy a short walking tour of the cobbled Old Town, famous for its well-preserved medieval houses, many coated in ornate frescoes. Observe the painted frontages as your guide shares the story of the buildings, and, after free time to wander on your own, end your tour with a drop-off in central Zurich or, if you wish, a drop-off at Zurich Airport.

We’re total NOT ENJOYING the city tour at all. After the whole tour, We still didn’t know much about the city. Waking the old town less than 10 min. After the walking, What We know about this part of town is NOTHING! I ask myself Why I didn’t join the Hop On - Hop Off instead?

Good observational tours for those not wishing to walk too much. Unfortunately neither offered any insight into history of the city or its culture.

We had a day to use before flying to Hong Kong and this tour gave us an opportunity to see all sectors of the city. The afternoon visit to the Rhine Falls and Stein am Rhein was both interesting and lovely to see. Our tour guide was excellent and very informative.

City tour of Zurich, Rhine Falls and Stein on Rhine

A good trip. A medieval city, Stein on Rhine was particularly memorable. The Falls were all spectacular. I would rate the city tour as good. On the whole, a very good introduction to the beautiful city of Zurich. I would recommend that it may be followed with a walking tour of Zürich, conducted by free walking tours.

We had a great time on the Rhine Falls and Stein am Rhein tour. The Zurich highlights tour was sufficient but neither great or horrible. Janja was fantastic teaching us the history of the Rhine Falls and the area around it.

Rhine Falls and Stein am Rhein carried the day.

First part of trip somewhat boring as too much reference to banking and insurance firms. Also seem guide had something going on as was on cell phone very often as we walked through town. Got the feeling she couldn't wait for the tour to end so she could attend to whatever the constant calls inferred. Falls trip great as was Hans who made for an informative tour.

This was 2 half day tours combined into...

This was 2 half day tours combined into one, so we had to leave the main station and then return to the station for the second half. Zurich morning tour was covered by Peter - good guide providing all the required details. Since I had gone to couple other tours which also started from the same train station, some of the information was repetition. What I expected to be different was more coverage and focus on Zurich itself. Somehow most of the informational coverage was the same at the intro level. There were a couple short stops in the middle for pictures, but I expected a few more picturesque spots. I thought they could have also added some time for old Zurich. We did stop along the river and take some snaps along the church. This was mostly accessible except for the short stops, cause there wasn't enough time to get on and off. The afternoon tour was covered by Urs, who gave a good idea of the itinerary and also allowed the group to buy the optional boating tour tickets in advance. Would have been good if they had mentioned that the option would be there since I wasn't carrying cash and was hoping to pay by card. But it was a good time saver for the other folks who bought their tickets on the bus. Rhine falls was a pretty good location. there were spots to get really close to the water, but since the day was very sunny, it was hard to capture photos near water. Stein Am Rhein is maintained with its old charm - with pretty art work from its history. It also has a walk right next to river Rhine. I would have liked a bit more time to move around. Generally, in both tours, it would be nice to have some break time for snacks and eating as well, since tours are exhausting and you can only carry so much with you to eat. And eating on the buses is not allowed. The falls location is not accessible by wheels everywhere - some spots is exclusively by foot. And the old city has cobblestones, so that can make it hard too.
