For this 3.5-hour food and culture tour of Seville, meet a little before start time in front of the Santa Catalina Church. This evening tour involves a moderate amount of walking, so make sure to be ready to take the city by foot.

Your guide shows you around the streets, and tells you interesting stories and facts about Seville’s past. From the dark times of the Spanish Inquisition to its bright booming future, learn about what Julius Caesar and Christopher Columbus had to do with the city.

As you stroll the streets, pop into four bars to taste popular Spanish tapas and drinks. Most of the bars you’ll visit during this tour are over 100 years old and have architecture worth admiring. Some drinks you might try include different types of Spanish wines, and the tapas are popular Spanish options.

Your tour ends back at the place you met your guide.

Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.
Stop At:
El Rinconcillo
You’ll start the night off at Seville’s oldest tapas bar (open since the 1600s!), where you’ll enjoy the city’s classic aperitif—a glass of vermouth—paired with acorn-fed Iberian ham.
Duration: 15 minutes

Afterwards, your guide will give you a taste of Seville’s history at a couple of important sites. After this, you’ll begin to see Moorish influence left and right—and you’ll also come face-to-face with the remains of a Roman temple!
Duration: 20 minutes
Admission Ticket Free
Stop At:
Taberna Álvaro Peregil
Next up, you’ll visit a tiny tapas bar you might miss if you weren’t looking for it. This bar might be crowded, but that’s okay—they’re expecting us! Throughout this tour we’ll be visiting the can’t-miss spots that are packed with locals and often intimidating to visitors, but we’ll show you the ropes. Here at this family-run stop we’ll try orange wine, a local specialty found only in western Andalusia, and we’ll pair it with cured Manchego cheese and slow-roasted pork belly drizzled with Spanish olive oil.
Duration: 15 minutes
Admission Ticket Free
Stop At:
Barrio Santa Cruz
Then we’ll embark on our 20-minute history walk through the Jewish Quarter and city center. We’ll get to know the Cathedral from the outside and hear Seville’s very own Romeo and Juliet story, among other highlights.
Duration: 20 minutes
Admission Ticket Free
Stop At:
Casa Morales
Now it’s time for more tapas! At this traditional bar often packed with locals you’ll try one of the city’s most typical bites: montaditos. These little sandwiches are filled with unbeatable combinations of regional ingredients. We’ll pair them with a dry manzanilla sherry, and make sure you know exactly how to order next time you’re out on your own.
Duration: 20 minutes
Admission Ticket Free
Stop At:
Enrique Becerra
After exploring a few more of Seville’s hidden streets and plazas, we’ll head to our last stop. This iconic local tavern is the newest of the night at “only” 40+ years old! It’s been run by the same owner for all of those 40 years, and he’s still at the restaurant every night to greet his guests. We’ve been on our feet for a while by now, so we’re going to take a seat here and enjoy the creative Spanish food they’ve perfected (since they’ve been doing it since long before it became trendy). While eating, we’ll sip an Andalusian wine, and we’ll finish the night off with a little something sweet!

Maria was an excellent guide - friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were a small group and she included us all in a sensitive and genuine way. Her understanding of gastronomic history gave us a good insight into the best places to eat and drink in the city and will help us enjoy our future travels more!

Hola Brenda! So glad to hear you had a wonderful tour with Maria recently, and thank you so much for your lovely review. In addition to being a genuinely warm and welcoming person, Maria's passion for her home city, its history, and its food is truly evident. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Seville, and that's wonderful to hear that Maria's knowledge came in handy even after the tour ended! Thanks again and we hope to see you on tour with us again soon :) Best wishes, Lindsey

Great way to spend an evening learning some local history while enjoying some tapas and drinks. Experience back street bars you would normally miss or not stop at.

Getting to know you
, Nov 2019
Tour was a god way to get to see and know about Seville - we went in the the evening of the day we arrived so got a good list of things to do for our 4 days in Seville. As always with these type of group tours, it depends on the other people who are doing the tour (we had a good group of sociable and chatty folks which made it good) and your tour guide (he was good too). Fun tour and worth the time and $$'s
