Javier was wonderful, a historian with so much knowledge and passion for what he does. If you enjoy learning more of the history of the architecture, art, and other interesting facts, paying for this tour is definitely worth it! The detail and art history at the cathedral was amazing. I also liked having the ear pieces, it was easier to hear Javier.

We started in the castle and then toured the cathedral. There wasn’t any time to explore the castle as we needed to go out and wait for others to join for the cathedral. We waited for at least 25 minutes and then another 15 as there was an issue with the correct number of tickets for the group. It would have been nice to know that we couldn’t spend more time in the castle. It was also difficult to understand our guide, but that is not unexpected. Not sure that i can recommend the tour.

My husband and I were the only two English speakers; the rest of the tour group were French, so we had our own private tour guide. Javier gave us a lot of the history of both the Real Alcazar and the Cathedral. Great tour, highly recommend.

In-depth tour of Sevilla's famous historical attractions

After slight confusion of where we were supposed to meet our guide, we sailed past the queue of people waiting to enter the Alcazar and were treated to the spectacles inside. Our guide, Jesus, was extremely informative and gave us all audio machines which were excellent and allowed us to hear him clearly. We travelled through the palace and then entered the gardens of the Alcazar, which were a surprise as we didn't expect them to be so large within the city. Jesus gave us 25 minutes to tour the gardens, before we met up again to visit the Cathedral. Well worth a visit, although not as spectacular as the Alcazar. We climbed the Giralda tower which has ramps instead of steps and is an easy climb for most age-groups. The views from the top were amazing. It was quite a shock when the bells rang whilst we were up there and only added to the atmosphere. The tour took all of 3 hours, and is very detailed but also interesting and full of facts. We thought it was excellent.

I took this tour and was so pleased I did. We were on a cruise ship and only had limited time in Seville. This tour skipped the line so we went straight into the sights. Our guide was very knowledgeable and told us much history of the Alcazar and Cathedral. At no time were we rushed and had plenty of time to view each exhibit. At the start I couldn't find the office, but instead found a guy with a lollypop who was representing the company.

Our guide Jesus was knowledgeable and gracious. Very helpful having a guide to navigate and gain context on these two 2 historic and interesting sites. We ended in the cathedral with option to climb the tower or just wander around on our own.
