Continue up the mountain area with a camel ride, and take in stunning scenic views as you go. Afterward, your guide drives you up to Imlil Valley where you can rest on a terrace to enjoy a cup of Moroccan tea and a piece of cake. Your guide asks you a few options for the rest of the day, including how long of a walk you’d like to take and if you’d prefer to drive, walk, or ride a mule to your next stop.

Once you’ve decided, set out for Ait Souka Village. Lunch is waiting for you and your group. Experience a traditional Berber lunch, including salad, tajine, couscous, and fruit. At the village, follow your guide to the home of a Berber family, and learn about their culture and way of life before heading over to Moulay Brahim near the Asni Valley.

Your day ends with a quiet drive back to Marrakech. Get dropped back off at your hotel when you reach the city. Tours end at different times depending on the options you choose while in the Imlil Valley.

Review form a professional (former holiday Rep)

Disclaimer - I'm somewhat critical as I have done a very large number of excursions across many destination, because of my previous job - Holiday advisor for TUI (I had to experience and sell all of the excursions at each destination I worked). Initially, whilst still at the hotel, I received a couple of phone calls, but the person on the phone did not speak enough English for me to understand what the matter is. Thankfully the receptionist helped and she spoke to them from my phone. It turned out that they didn't know where our hotel is (a major hotel in Marrakech - Fairmont Royal Palm). The minibus came 15-20 minutes late. The guide (Ibrahim) and driver (Mohammed) were very friendly, caring and approachable. The driver did not speak any English, the guide spoke average English. Ibrahim took great care of my girlfriend in terms of toilet stops (due to medical reasons), we really appreciated that. He also offered and rook pictures on many occasions, which was very nice of him too. Areas for improvement for Ibrahim: - He needs to increase the level and amount of useful information he provides. Foreign visitors normally want to know a lot more about Morocco and the local culture - During the 30-40min walk to the waterfall, although he kept an eye on us, I found it hard to keep up (I'm in my mid 30's and active person). This is because I wanted to take pictures as we walk and really enjoy the scenery. My girlfriend could not walk fast for medical reasons. An elderly person would not be able to keep up for certain. Ibrahim needs to pace himself better We really enjoyed the Camil ride, they dressed us in local clothing too, which was great As an overall the excursion had little amount of culture and nature stops - 1 berber village and 1 waterfall. It felt as we rushed through those and that was the interesting part. We had 2 long stops at shops. The first one is branded as local women's cooperative. It reminded me of the carpet shops/ factories in turkey, where they'll show you how it's done and then will try their best to sell you hand made carpets very expensively. I just can't hep it but feel that the emphasis was on us buying things from those shops, rather then us really discovering the Berber culture. The lunch was optional (€6 per person) and was actually good. Downside - we weren't really given the option to opt out. Ibrahim asked us for our menu preference (chicken or veggie), and only afterwards mentioned that the lunch is extra. It was worth the money and I never considered not opting in, however someone else may have been led to believe it was included and made feel uncomfortable when asked to pay. The staff at the lunch place were very nice to lend me an iphone charger, so I charged my battery whilst eating. On the way back, Mohammed stopped on the way to pick up his wife, kids and mother. He then dropped them off later in town on route. Personally I didn't mind it at all, but I do feel that is unprofessional. Lastly, instead of dropping us in the hotel (which is well outside of Marrakech). Mohammed and Ibrahim agreed to drop us off in town centre - something we really appreciated. All in all we enjoyed the day a lot, but If I was running the travel agency organising the trip, I would change a number of things as per the above feedback. I tried to be as honest and objective. I firmly believe in a constructive feedback. Ibrahim and Mohammed, I hope you see it that way too.

Incredible journey into the Atlas Mountains

One of the most incredible experiences I’ve had in Morocco. Syed was our guide and he was excellent. He changed the order of the tour so we could avoid the big groups, and it felt so small and welcoming that it could’ve been a private tour. I wish I had the words to explain just what an amazing time I had - I’d just say trust your guide and the locals completely and enjoy! I did this tour by myself and the other couples in my group were all excellent, we got on really well and all had a great time. Plus, Syed was always making sure I was ok and offering to take photos for me - vital when travelling solo!

Our guide Sayed was very kind and friendly and made us feel very welcome. He took good care of us and made sure we had a great time. The lunch was delicious and the camel ride and outfits we were given were made the experience even more enjoyable. The mountains are beautiful. We highly recommend this tour.

The trip was nice and decent for the price. The camel ride was very interesting, especially for someone that has never done it. The lunch was not included in the price but it was delicious and relatively cheap. The guide Issmail and the driver Hassan were very nice.

Our Guide Ismael was excellent. We enjoyed the entire trip from our guide's knowledge and expertise on the way to Atlas mountain to the camel ride. We did not feel rushed at anytime. Enjoyed the picturesque view from approx.. 1800 feet. Definitely would recommend this tour, both our driver and guide made the trip a pleasurable and memorable experience for my wife and me. Loved it!

This was an amazing experience and specially with the Tour guide / Driver who was really accommodative and genuine. Its definitely worth your day and money! :). You get be in the base of Atlas mountains and the water falls (which was not the best) with breakfast and lunch. Camel ride was amazing and long with the traditional costumes (provided) but I am not sure if the camels suffer going in a convoy formation as they were tied to each other. Highly recommend this tour (If you are OK riding camels ! :)

Wonderful Adventure

Omar was at our hotel early and we drove the winding roads into the mountains. Omar was great. Patient when we asked to take photos and sang traditional Berber songs to us during the drive. We stopped at a co-op on the drive to the mountains, but since we had already bought souvenirs, we told Omar we wanted to skip the tour and get back on the road. The mountains are beautiful. Mohammad gave us a tour of the waterfalls - which was nice - just be sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes for walking up the steep trails on the mountain. Mohammad also took us to a Berber house for quick lunch and tea which was very nice and delicious (traditional tajine dish). Finally, the camel ride on the way back into town was the most memorable thing we did in Morocco. The camels are so gentle and quiet and once you get used to the movement, very enjoyable. We highly recommend Omar and this tour.
