3 Days Budget Morocco Desert Trip From Marrakech To Fez

Morocco is a wonderful and beautiful place, and each place we saw through the tour was breathtaking. Nevertheless, the tour itself was poorly organized and underdelivered on many of its promises. The tour lacked an English speaking guide, and instead we had a driver who spoke only Arabic for the majority of the trip. At 2 of the stops, we met up with a local guide who did speak English, but they were only with us for a matter of hours. The food options were pretty poor as well. We had exactly the same meal for lunch and dinner every time (Tajine, soup, and bread). The tour description noted that the lunches were not included, but the tour brought us to a single isolated restaurant for each lunch, so we had no choice to eat at those locations, which were way overpriced, especially for the low quality food. Also, the Sahara portion of the tour was a total scam. We rode the camels in almost a complete circle, and our camp was within sight of the parking lot where we started. The next morning, they told us that we had to walk back, and there was no second camel ride (which was fine since we were so close, but still this isn't what was promised). And the onward journey from the Sahara to Fes was not an organized tour as the website described. Only some of us were continuing to Fes, and we were put into a small car, and waited for more than an hour for people from other tours who were also going to Fes. Then we just drove straight there, only stopping for food and restrooms, but this was not a tour. Also, several of us were told that the drive to Fes was not included and that we had to pay more money on the spot to continue. We pushed back and showed our documentation showing that we already paid for a tour to Fes, and they finally agreed to take us there. Finally, this exact tour seems to be offered through many different re-sellers, and some people on the tour paid as low as 90 euros for the same tour through their Riad, so I would look around for a cheaper option before booking.
