Board your coach in central Lucerne for the scenic journey south to Engelberg, departing in the afternoon. On arrival at this picturesque resort town situated in a valley below Mt Titlis, your guide accompanies you inside the aerial cableway for a 45-minute ride to the glacier’s 10,000-foot (3,020-meter) summit.

Take in dramatic views of the snowy Bernese Alps through panoramic windows, then disembark at the mountaintop for roughly two hours of free time. Perhaps start with a visit to Glacier Cave to see ice crystals in the frozen underground grotto. Admire the glacial landscape from the rotating Titlis Rotair gondola, which affords 360-degree views, or crunch along the snow on the Cliff Walk for vertigo-inducing vistas. You can gaze down at the icy depths from the Ice Flyer chairlift and hop on a snow tube at Titlis Glacier Park for downhill thrills (May–October). Admission to each acclaimed glacier attraction is included, weather permitting.

If the brisk mountain air makes you feel hungry, replenish at one of several restaurants at the summit (own expense).

At the prearranged time, meet your guide for the descent back to Engelberg where your coach is ready to return to Lucerne. Your tour then concludes in Lucerne Old Town.

It was a good experience with Viator, the tour operator assigned for this trip was "best of Switzerland tours" it was a good tour company in Switzerland and what is written is provided too. I felt that the Tour Guide showed less interest in telling the details of Mt. Titlis and improvement required for interaction with the Tourist.

All went well right from the pic up...except the wind (which is not in anybody control). Since, this is December, expect high winds and no access to Chair lift and Cliff walk. Our guide Mr. Pedro was really good and helpful.

It is a very nice place, unfortunately the weather was not so good on the day cloudy and cold. We got great view until close to the top and then we were in cloud. But some great views anyway. I had the good fortune to have been there some years ago but on a good day so I know how beutiful it looks when it is sunny. Well worth the trip.

This trip was a waste of time and money. It was SO crowed and some very pushy people. When we got to the top the tubing of course was closed, and not because of lack of snow. The ride up we were crammed into the cable car that you couldn't see out. The only thing at the top was a chair lift ride . We walked around in the snow a bit and headed back down. I just wasted $250. for 2. People save your money. We got to the bottom at the exact time or maybe a little early for our bus ride back to Lucerne and we had to wait at least 30 minutes for everyone else. Very frustrating , we were told in the beginning that if you weren't back in time the bus would leave you and you would have to make your own way back. This was not fare for everyone else waiting on the bus. I want my money back. !!

With Mount Titlis being on the bucket list of many people visiting Switzerland, it can get crowded at peak times. With the increasing number of visitors each year, the TITLIS management organization is working hard to optimize customer flows to make the journey as convenient as possible for our guests. The snowtubing activity at the TITLIS glacier park is only available between May and July (snow toy run until September, depending on the weather conditions) before it starts operating again at the Trübsee snow park just before Christmas. However, there were various other activities available such as the Ice Flyer, the Cliff Walk and the Glacier cave. Unfortunately, we are confronted with late arrivals day in and day out. Whenever we are missing guests for the way back to Lucerne or Zürich, we try to contact them on the phone number provided and try to help them finding back to their bus or to arrange an individual train ride back at the customer’s own expense. From the tour guide’s report, we see that you arrived in Lucerne with a minor delay of 15 minutes, which we would like to apologize for. As you have participated in the full tour and had not missed any services that were advertised as included and not weather permitting, we regret to inform you that we cannot offer you a full refund for the tour. We hope that you were still able to enjoy a wonderful stay in Switzerland and hope to welcome you back on one of our tours on your next trip to Zürich. Best regards, Best of Switzerland Tours

Our tour guide was great and kept us engaged. It is a pretty simple tour and honestly, if I were to do it again, I would just take the train myself to this place. Once at the location, you don't stay with the guide, hence, the guide is really only good for the bus ride. Save yourself the money and do it yourself, its very easy.
