Pre-booked Bus trip to Pisa

This tour is simply a booking for a return bus ticket to the Pisa site. Its pricing is OK.
We booked this for when our cruise ship visited the Livorno port.
Two important things to understand with this bus transfer:
- if connecting via a cruise ship, be aware that the area where you catch the bus is nowhere near the Livorno port, despite the instructions you receive when you book saying "just outside the port". You can't walk there (too far) however there is a shuttle bus close by the ship exit for 5 euro that will take you there as its first stop which is about a 10 min ride. Factor that in to make sure you don't miss the actual Pisa bus as we nearly did. We had to ask the shuttle bus contact to call ahead so the Pisa bus could wait for us.
- when you arrive at Pisa, the buses don't actually stop very near the site. It is approx a 20 minute flat walk from where the bus drops you and the Pisa site. Again you need to factor in this walk when returning to the bus for pickup back to the port.
Other than that, this is a bus transfer service and served its purpose to get to Pisa.

This was a simple transfer, however, at the start the transfer was supposed to be at 1:40, yet the bus was delayed and so the transfer was at 2:00.. this made our time at "Pisa" shorter. A text was sent to my phone however, I did have internet so I did not know but I found out when other passengers started showing up later. The drop off point is about a 15 minute walk to the plaza, our driver said he would pick us up at 4:45 at the exact location where the drop off was, however, me and the other passengers where at the location at the exact time yet NO bus showed up, in the end another bus with cruise ship passengers( I was on a cruise ship so where the other customers) just came by and picked us up. I have no idea what would have happened if the bus did not show up. Very confusing, would not do it again.- review by cruisinbob

The bus ride to Pisa was good. This is just a bus transfer and there is about a 15 minute walk to the tower/miracle square. This is good for anyone who wants a quick excursion from a cruise. Keep in mind that if you do come from the cruise terminal you will have to pay 5 euros to get a shuttle to the place where this bus picks you up. There are employees at the stop to help you. Only bad thing was that my family and I almost missed the bus because we got lost on the way back. There is also not too much time. Don't spend all your time trying to take the stereotypical pictures with the leaning tower, because there are a lot of cute shops to walk around to. Worth the money, rather than paying for a long excursion from the cruise lines!
