Although the weather wasn't all sunshine, Juan our tour guide was so insightful and shared some great details about the city's history. He also took us to some amazing places to see the Alhambra from the Albacin.

Fantastic, in depth, small group tour

This was the perfect introduction to Granada. Our tour guide Lucy was knowledgable and friendly. She took us to all kinds of spots that we would not have known to go to view the Alhambra and also answered all of our questions. There were just 4 of us on the tour so we got a really in depth tour. We loved it! I would do this again if I were going to Granada.

We were the only two persons booked and so had a private tour. Granada is small city around which it is easy to walk, and we had already been to the Cathedral and Alhambra the previous day. However, we valued this tour for visiting small streets in the area of Albaicin, which we would not have found ourselves, and to which we then returned on our own the following day. Stephanie was very informative and we covered a good amount of ground. She took us into buildings and courtyards which we would not have found ourselves. We were gald to have booked this tour.

I enjoyed this tour with Lucy, our tour guide. Lucy has a degree in Spanish history and architecture which made the tour very interesting. She explained Granada's history as well as the details of the architectures as she pointed out buildings, monuments, churches and the carmens that dot the city. She shared facts that one would not normally hear in tours i.e. how can you tell if your orange tree will produce a bitter and sweet lemon? She gives insights to the landscapes and homes in Granada. Very detailed information about the Madraza architecture. Great tour!

We loved tgis tour with Beatrice from Cicerone Tours- both the company and our guide were so friendly, welcoming and keen to make this a memorable experience. Beatrice made sure that we delved into the most hidden and beautiful parts of Albaicin and took great care to outline the history and to explain the changing architecture behind these changes. We were fortunate to have taken this trip. Perhaps though, I would add an extra hour to include a visit to the Cathedral and Royal Chapel as part of this tour.

Mar was our local tour guide and she was fantastic. She cares passionately about her beautiful city and the history that shaped it. What made Mar so unique was her ability to read, the people in the tour and see what they understood and didn't, plus their interests so she could tailor her talk. Mar and the wonderful lady ?? in the office saved our Granada trip by calling around, scrounging and other wise performing magic to find us 2 tour tickets for Alahambra. This was a really excellent walking tour. There is no other way than walking to experience Granada since the most interesting and picturesque parts of the city can only be reached on foot. The tour guide Mar was wonderful and so full of energy! Plus she spoke excellent English. She helped us fall in love with Granada! Highly recommend the tour !!

The time spent walking through Granada with Juancho was one of the highlights of my trip to Spain. His knowledge of the city's ins-and-outs and passion for its history is unsurpassed. He took me to parts of the city and inside historic buildings that I didn't know existed, and even if I did know existed, would not have been able to find on my own. Visitors to the city would do well to book a tour with him before he moves on to his teaching career.
