Our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable about the wine region but also being local very passionate about the Algarve so not only a wine tour we were treated to all the local knowledge and points of interest and how the area has changed over the years. The two wineries we visited were fantastic and we were treated to the traditions of wine making in the Algarve and of course tasting some excellent wine. This was a well worth experience.

We were fortunate, due to numbers to have a private tour with our guide Joao. What can we say, what a treat! The wine we sampled, in beautiful settings, were great and we treated ourselves to a few bottles to bring home. The trip to the historical town of Silvas with it’s picturesque cobbled streets gave us a chance to get some tasty lunch. And who knew cork could be so interesting?! 🧐 However, it was Joao who really made our day - super friendly, fun, interesting and informative and accommodating at all times. We loved it! Thank you🍷😊

We had a very welcoming pickup at the hotel from our lovely guide João, who was able to tell us a lot about the region and Portuguese winegrowing. Our small group of 6 people was very charming and we had a pleasant day. The two family-run wineries are definitely worth a visit, very Sweet people and you should absolutely not underestimate Portuguese wine in the near future. The wine tour was awesome! Big thanks to João. He is a great tour guide. We tried some wine at Paxá Wine with Luis and the experience was very tasty. We visited the vineyard and the fabrication of wine. At Quinta do Francês Tania was hosting some tapas and wine and the experience was great. At Silves we visited the castle and had an amazing Bacalhau at Casa Velha. We highly recommend the experience. Thanks to Viator for organizing the tour.

A fantastic day out to silves and the surrounds. Joan and Sarah were fantastic guides and made us feel welcome and at ease from the second they greeted us. Generous and delicious wines at the first local vineyard with matching tapas, a stop I the beautiful town at silves for lunch or exploring followed by quinto dos Frances vineyard and more lovely local tapas in the afternoon. Joao was even generous enough to allow us to stay and have a further glass of wine here.as it was a beautiful view. If your going to do a vineyard trip in the algarve do this one.
