Start your day meeting at the Albufeira marina for your Algarve cave and dolphin watching cruise. Relax as you motor the coastline in a nimble boat. Glimpse over the waters and enjoy golden views of the sandstone cliffs.

Arrive at the grottos and explore its mesmerizing caves. Then, sit back and relax! Voyage back to Albufeira and traverse deeper into the sea to seek out dolphins. Observe the water surface closely for a chance to see common dolphins and bottlenose dolphins. Watch as these schools of dolphins jump and swim playfully and occasionally approach the boat. Head back to the Albufeira marina where your Algarve dolphin and cave watching cruise ends.

The sun came out when we reached the caves

Beautiful views of the caves from the sea and within them. Better ask in advance what vessel you will be at. Dreamer is catamarán and Insonia is a quick boat. I couldn’t choose when making the reservation. In May it may be a bit chilly in the morning, so the fast boat requires you bring a coat (although there are some in the boat for those who -like me- forgot it). Although it was cloudy and cool when we left, the sun appeared right in time to take beautiful pictures

The seats on the insonia boats are very comfortable, we cannot understand why you did not find so? they are cushioned baquet seats, used for race cars and especially designed for comfort. We see dolphins all year, weather conditions do not make any difference of seeing them or not. May is a warm time of year but some days may be cooler, for example today the 8th of May it is 28ºC at 11am. Hope to see you again soon! :-) Kind Regards,

Had a great time on this trip. The sun was shining and the views were truly stunning, gorgeous beach and truly magnificent caves. We got very lucky and saw a lot of dolphins which was thrilling. Just make sure you’re wrapped up warm as the boat goes quite fast and it can get quite chilly.

We saw dolphins minutes after we headed out to sea and one swam under our boat. It was magical. Although the sea was a bit choppy, the boat was steered expertly into the caves. We didn’t manage to see by inside the best cave, due to the sea conditions, but but it was still a fabulous trip.

Very average. There were no dolphins, which is just our bad luck, but without them it was about 90 minutes of just riding out on the boat in open water. The fun wore off. The caves were beautiful to see from the water, but there was very little commentary given. The guide knew more, since he shared more information with some passengers in the back of the boat, but not with the general group. Also, other boats traveled closer to the opening of the Bengil Cave, but ours stayed much farther back so you couldn't see any of the interior. Would not recommend this tour.

If the sea conditions do not permit a safe approach to the caves, we will not move towards certain caves. Depending on sea conditions we can visit some, many, all or no caves. If other boats go closer to caves risking people´s safety, we cannot do anything about that, only regret such irresponsability. The coastline is beautiful, the dolphins can appear with any type of sea. We do prefer to do tours with the calmest sea possible. Loved loved loved experiencing and exploring the caves. I wasn’t about going out to see looking for dolphins, it was way too windy and they told us to begin with there weren’t any dolphins seen today. I would have been happy to just go back through all of the caves. But the guides were kind and gave just the right amount of info. We all really appreciated it!
