The Basics

Most city tours make a stop at the popular Mosque–Cathedral of Cordoba. Guided tour options range from an hourlong history tour focused on the cathedral and former mosque to a half-day walking tour with stops at other Cordoba monuments such as the Castle of Catholic Monarchs (Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos) and the ancient synagogue of the Jewish Quarter. Others visit the Mezquita on a day trip from Seville, Granada, or Costa del Sol.

Mosque-Cathedral, Synagogue and Old City Private Tour in Cordoba
We had a wonderful time in this tour, but the best part, by far was our guide. She went above and beyond to explain and share a bit if her amazing knowledge on the subject. We traveled with our twin girls aged 13, and she made the visit incredibly fun and interesting for them as well; this has been by far, the highlight of our tour.

We toured the Mosque-Cathedral with Olivia. She was great. Gave us a great sense of how the complex was developed over the many years and its history from the Phoenicians to today.

Our guides were very knowledgeable the tour was definite highlight of our trip. The tour itself is very long and I wish the description suggests packing snacks and drinks - especially on a hot day.

Cordoba Full Day Trip with Mosque Entry Direct from Malaga
Maria - the guide for the English group in Cordoba - was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The cathedral/mosque was a "must see" Raphael's knowledge of languages was excellent and very well organised and informative on the tour bus. In our free time we took a walk over the Roman Bridge where the views were excellent. Make sure you get to the Alcazar which closes at 2.30 and which you could have time to visit.
